The plane had been bound for La Ceiba on the Honduran mainland\u2026..CONTINUE READING IN BELOW<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emergency workers retrieved bodies from the sea on Monday night, with police and firefighters leading rescue efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to fire chief Franklin Borjas,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cunfavorable weather has made search and rescue operations more difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials said they were still searching for the final victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roatan, known for its coral reefs and tourism,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>became the site of the tragedy just 1km from the island\u2019s airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Xiomara Castro said,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have immediately activated the Emergency Operations Committee (COE) team\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are working nonstop to help with the sad incident.\u201d She added,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInjured passengers can now be treated at the public hospitals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>in San Pedro Sula and La Ceiba.
