I have a daughter, Lily (16), who walks with a limp due to an accident from years ago. My fianc\u00e9e, Rachel, has always seemed kind and supportive. So when her family invited us over for dinner, I thought it would be a good opportunity to bring our worlds together. Before we went, I asked Rachel to quietly let her family know not to mention Lily\u2019s limp. It\u2019s still a sensitive topic, and I didn\u2019t want anything to derail her progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dinner started off well. Conversation flowed, the food was great, and Lily was even joining in the laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
