I teach 2-year-olds, and every day they say something that completely makes my day. But this one moment still has me laughing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was doing our usual little \u201cget to know you\u201d circle and asked one boy, \u201cWhat\u2019s your mommy\u2019s name?\u201d He smiled proudly and said, \u201cMichelle.\u201d Easy enough. Then I asked, \u201cWhat\u2019s your daddy\u2019s name?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He paused. His tiny eyebrows furrowed, and he looked deep in thought. After a few seconds of silence, I tried to help him out and asked, \u201cOkay, what does Mommy call Daddy?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I expected something simple \u2014 maybe \u201cJohn\u201d or \u201cHoney.\u201d But instead, he looked right at me with total seriousness and said, \u201cIdiot.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The whole class burst into laughter \u2014 even I couldn\u2019t keep a straight face.
