If you’re craving something hearty, cozy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, this easy baked pork chop and potato dish is exactly what you need. It’s a one-pan recipe that fills the kitchen with the kind of smell that makes everyone run to the table!
Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
- 6 bone-in pork chops
- 5–6 medium potatoes, sliced into ½-inch rounds
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional but amazing!)
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika to taste
- A touch of olive oil or butter
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a large glass baking dish with butter or spray.
- Layer potatoes evenly on the bottom, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Season pork chops with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, then place them on top of the potatoes.
- In a bowl, mix soup and milk until smooth, then pour it over everything.
- Top with onions (and cheese if you like it creamy and rich).
- Cover with foil and bake for about 50 minutes, then uncover and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serve it straight from the pan with a little parsley on top — and don’t be surprised if everyone goes back for seconds (or thirds, like my husband did!).
