Continuation…

Right after our wedding, my husband and I were completely drained. The ceremony, the celebration — it all left us exhausted. We finally got to our hotel room and collapsed on the bed. It was our first night as a married couple, but honestly, I was just too tired.

He smiled, kissed my forehead, and said, “Get some rest, love.” I felt so grateful to have someone so understanding. I drifted off almost immediately.

But around 3 a.m., I woke up suddenly — the bed was shaking. My heart started racing. I turned over, half-asleep and confused, thinking maybe it was an earthquake. But what I saw left me completely speechless.

My husband was kneeling beside the bed… praying.

His eyes were closed, and he was whispering softly, thanking God for our marriage and asking for strength to be a good husband. He didn’t even realize I was awake.

In that quiet moment, all my exhaustion vanished. I felt tears in my eyes. It wasn’t the wedding vows, the party, or the photos that made me realize I’d married the right man — it was that silent prayer in the middle of the night.

Sometimes love doesn’t show itself in grand gestures… but in quiet moments when no one’s supposed to be watching.
