Here’s What Each Compartment Really Does!

For years, I couldn’t understand why some of my clothes still didn’t smell or feel completely clean, even after a full wash cycle. I changed detergents, tried longer programs, even added more powder — nothing worked.

Then one day, I learned the shocking truth: I’d been putting the detergent in the wrong compartment the entire time.

Most washing machines have three compartments — but almost no one knows what each one is actually for.

🧴 1. Pre-wash (I) — This small compartment on the left is for pre-wash detergent. It’s used only if you select a “pre-wash” cycle for heavily soiled clothes.
💧 2. Main wash (II) — This is where your regular detergent goes — liquid or powder. This compartment does all the heavy cleaning during the main cycle.
🌸 3. Fabric softener (flower icon) — This section is for softener only. It’s released automatically during the rinse cycle, right before the final spin.

So if you’ve been pouring your detergent into the wrong one — your clothes haven’t been getting properly cleaned this whole time!

Now that I use them correctly, the difference is unbelievable — fresh scent, softer fabric, and no detergent residue.

Sometimes, the little things we overlook make the biggest difference!
